Located in Staunton, Virginia, our campus is in a beautiful location in the Shenandoah Valley, and captures the essence of southern cordiality that can be hard to find any more. We promise a warm welcome every day, and that is what residents experience. Our friendly team of caregivers finds meaning and purpose in getting to know residents and doing everything we can to make sure they enjoy this next chapter in retirement. We offer assisted living apartments and a memory care neighborhood but work hard to provide a vibrant suite of activities so our residents enjoy as much independence as they can and live each day with their own sense of purpose.
Assisted living is a type of community that seeks to balance support from caregivers with personal freedom and autonomy. At The Legacy at North Augusta, residents live in private apartments and are free to come and go as they are able, just like any other apartment living. The difference is that they have access to a range of support services, such as tasks of daily living, medication management, housekeeping and more. Additionally, our residences are completely maintenance- and worry-free so residents don’t even have to change a light bulb.
The Legacy offers studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plan options to suit individual preferences and needs. All residences are private. Should your needs change, our expanded memory care neighborhood offers private rooms with shared living spaces so residents can make new friends through conversation and engaging activities.
Yes! Couples may live together in assisted living, which is one of the great benefits of living in The Legacy. Memory care, however, is a separate neighborhood with private suites for individuals who need more dedicated support.
ConnectedLiving is the name for our wellness programming philosophy. We strive to provide residents a lifestyle beyond dining and social life. We intentionally build programming so everyone in the community-residents, visitors and team members-can thrive in body, mind and spirit. From on-site activities to lifelong learning opportunities, we provide an environment that fosters continual growth among the seven dimensions of wellness:
As an assisted living community we have a dedicated team of caregivers here to support you 24/7. Our team includes registered nurses, certified nursing assistants and certified medication technicians. We also offer on-site rehabilitation therapy services to help you recover from an illness, injury or surgery through community partners who can provide physical, speech and occupational therapy in your home.
We are constantly evolving our community with current and future residents in mind. The biggest advantage to living here is our culture of hospitality. Our friendly team looks forward to getting to know you and making sure you have everything you need to enjoy your retirement. Some of our campus amenities include:
We offer remarkable assisted living with the stability, convenience and value of a monthly rental that few Virginia assisted living communities can match-with no buy-in fees or long-term leases. An affordable monthly fee covers the rental of an apartment and all standard features, with additional options and services available.
