WHAT SETS THE LEGACY AT NORTH AUGUSTA APART
Join our Staunton assisted living community.
As a National Lutheran Community, The Legacy at North Augusta is a not-for-profit organization, which means all of our financial resources are invested in residents and the communities where we live and work. Because we don’t owe anything to shareholders, we are able to focus solely on our mission.
What does this look like in practice?
- Peace of mind for residents: Because older adults living in our community are the only reason we exist, our focus is on you, not on ROI. While not-for-profit organizations do need to make money to operate, the money you spend with us is directly invested in the maintenance and operations of our community. After paying for overhead, our financial resources are here to serve you—through programming, exciting events, and upgraded amenities. And, with our memory care, rehabilitation and other health services available, you can rest easy knowing you can age in place right here in Staunton, Virginia.
- Investments in our team: Since our community is not driven by profit and we don’t face the pressure of meeting a high return on investment, we are mission-driven, and we prioritize ethics, quality and social responsibility. For residents, that means our community is built around service. We are here to enable you to explore more, do more and live more fully. To achieve this, we promote a culture of hospitality among our team, so we invest in the best people with bright attitudes and go-getter personalities. We also recruit incredibly skilled talent for our health care services to make sure you have the best of care, in addition to the finest service.
- Investments in the community: We are proud of our location in Staunton. Located in the Virginia mountains between Harrisonburg and Charlottesville, this is a great place to live and work, raise a family, and build a life for yourself. We love it here, so we are proud that as a not-for-profit organization with a philanthropic arm, we are able to support other organizations and causes in the area, in addition to offering financial support for families in need. The Legacy at North Augusta is a ministry, and we are here to serve.
